A monitor speaker equipped with the world’s first pure beryllium diaphragms.

Description

The NS-1000M is a three-way bookshelf speaker that was the first in the world to successfully put pure beryllium diaphragms into practical use, employing them in both the midrange and tweeter units, along with a newly developed woofer. It delivers a wide frequency range and highly accurate tonal balance, and was particularly praised for the openness and clarity of its brilliant mid-to-high frequencies, becoming a worldwide hit immediately after its release.

In 1976, the Swedish national broadcasting service selected the NS-1000M as its official monitor speaker, followed by adoption by the Finnish national broadcasting service in 1978. Establishing a solid reputation as a professional monitor, it became a long-selling model with more than 200,000 units sold over a 23-year production period lasting until 1997.
